LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Here at Supreme Fixture Company, Inc., we highlight our employees through a monthly question & answer segment to learn more about them. This month, our question & answer guest is Derrick Dickerson. Derrick joined SFC Dec. 9, 2019 and works in Design Services.

What do you like to do in your free time?

A: “#1 – Sleep! But seriously, in my free moments, I’m usually reading more; various topics from religion & politics to technology & finance. I’m constantly working to increase my breath of knowledge about things that effect the human condition & how I can best participate in the solutions to our collective issues.”

Who was your favorite role model growing up?

A: “My Mother; tough as nails baby boomer with an impeccably strong work ethic. Watching her during my formative years & now taught me the importance of family, unity, responsibility & accountability.”

What is your favorite memory while working here?

A: “My favorite memory while working for Supreme Fixture is my new hire interview with Steve Lewis. Interviews typically last 15-30 minutes. Steve and I actually talked for about 1 1/2 hours. That was impressive & gave me some keen insights on the company overall & how he & I would work together to enhance the output of the design services.”

What do you like most about working here at SFC?

A: “The people & their history of longevity with the company. I enjoy the work atmosphere & my position here has exposed me to the inner workings of the foodservice industry which feeds my pension for information consumption & provided multiple opportunities to learn new skills that gives my time more purpose and meaning!”
